What’s up! I’m Chuck the drummer for MR.G. I’ve been a musician for 22 years. I started with piano when I was 7 years old and learned the basics from that instrument. I discovered drums when I was 14. A friend of mine decided he was going to take up the guitar so I bought a bright orange drum set for $35.00 from another friend of mine. Our set consisted of Metallica, Dokken, Dio, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Ozzy tunes. We played downstairs in my parent’s house until they got sick of the noise. Then we had to move to the back room of a roller skating arena where we practiced for about a year. That band fell apart and I have been in 6 bands since then (Ground Zero, Mellow Underground, Gypsy Feed, Tongue & Groove, Strange Environment, and currently MR. G). I’m also in the Emerald Society Bagpipes and Drum Corps. I had some formal music training during high school and college (percussion, brass instruments, vocal training, jazz, marching band and classical music). I’m into boats, four wheelin’, dirt bike riding, golf, traveling, football and chain smoking while I’m playing the drums. Some of my other talents include: keyboard, classical piano, trumpet, a little guitar playing, back-up vocals and the Hammond Organ. Well, thanks for visiting our site. Check us out again soon!
