Ryan "R" Martin

Hey people, Ryan Martin here. Thanks for checkin out the website and expressing interest in our wandering group of troubadours. Let me jump right in and start talking about myself. It was a dark and sultry night back in the early 90's when an angel came to me from heaven or maybe it was the next town over. The details are a bit fuzzy. I was recovering from a long day of beatin ho's and huffin glue. (ah, the good ol days.) Anyway she said " you must play guitar and bring joy and enlightenment into a world of chaos and despair, and if you have time..kill your parents. So naturally I accepted and a beautiful Aria Pro II guitar appeared beside me in my nest of unending love. There it laid ,resting peacefully, awaiting the gift of my touch . Truly, this was a turning point in my life. Ever since that fateful night I have been saving lost souls with the power of music.

But in all honesty, only some that actually happened. I actually spent many years practicing and trying to convince myself I didn't suck. But I did, and for a long time.

I met Mr. G in my adolescent days. He actually showed me how to play 18 and life by Skid Row (I'll never forgive him for that) We played together for a while, tryin to shred like our heroes. It never worked out quite how we had hoped but it was great fun. My first band was called "Bach's Head" It was a 3 piece consisting of Cisco Ocampo on Bass and Tim Perry on drums. You can currently see them playing with JJB. After that band broke up I hauled my ass up to music school and studied Jazz and Audio Technology. Didn’t finish but I learned a lot. I hear you asking, "I thought he played Bass?" Yes I do. I started up playing Bass about a year ago and joined a band called 96 Delta. A fine bunch of chaps I must say. They are still playing on the local scene. Well after that I joined forces with Mr. G to help promote Satan's army and you can catch us manipulating crowds all over Asbury Park.
